President’s Message

We’re creating more opportunities to connect, to participate, and to build a community that feels active, welcoming, and real.

We’re creating more opportunities to connect, to participate, and to build a community that feels active, welcoming, and real.

On May 15 at noon, we’ll kick off a BeAware Situational Awareness Workshop, the first in a three-part series focused on practical, everyday skills to help keep ourselves, and each other, safe. It’s relevant, accessible, and something everyone can benefit from.

That evening is just as important.

Our Third Friday Shabbat dinner on May 15 will be hosted by our Hebrew School families, who will also help lead the service. This isn’t just another dinner—it’s a chance to experience the energy of our younger families and see the future of our community in action.

If you’ve been on the fence, this is the night to come. These evenings are where Temple Hesed starts to feel like home.

Come meet people. Come be part of it.

And on May 19, we’ll take that same spirit into the broader community as our Social Action Task Force cooks and serves dinner at the NEPA Youth Shelter in Scranton—showing up in a way that makes a difference.

This is how community builds—through participation, presence, and people choosing to show up.

We’d love for you to be part of it.
