Temple Cemetery Plots Are Available
One of the benefits of membership in Temple Hesed is the right to purchase a plot in the temple cemetery.
The cemetery is located in Dunmore Borough, adjacent to the historic Dunmore Cemetery.
If you have not done so, you may purchase plots for yourself and your family.
While only members may purchase cemetery plots, if a member has a close Jewish family member, that person may be buried in the cemetery if the member purchases the plots, with the approval of the Temple Hesed Board of Directors.
Non-Jewish spouses (of members) can be buried in our cemetery. Ours is the only Jewish cemetery in Lackawanna County where this can be done.
Buying a plot now will avoid any cost increases in the future. It is also a part of smart estate planning.
