TEMPLE HESED MEMBERSHIP

We prefer to personally contact anyone interested in information about membership. For more information, or personal contact with the membership chair of the Temple, please call Elaine Shepard at 570-586-9537 or the Temple at 570-344-7201. The office is staffed from 9 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Friday. As a U. R. J. congregation we follow their suggested guidelines for fair share dues support level.

Each family's annual commitment is set individually in consultation with the membership and finance committee. Our policy is to offer a welcome to out-of-towners to be a guest at all services including High Holy Day services if they are a member of any Jewish congregation. A letter confirming membership from the home Temple is required for High Holy Day services. We also welcome those who have recently moved to the area, military personnel and college students to join us for the High Holy Days. All seating is "family style."

Children's educational programs do carry an additional tuition. This helps us maintain reasonable dues levels for all families. The Temple is a modern structure with ample parking. Entrances are wheelchair accessible. An F.M. listening system is available upon request.
